It is authentically proven from the Holy Prophet (saww) that there are three types of dreams :
1. A good dream from Allah.
2. An evil dream from Satan.
3. Your thoughts and ambitions.
The dream you are asking me about, may fall into the first or second category. All dreams that come from Allah may come as an admonition or warning from the Supreme being (SWT).
They Holy prophet (saww) said that "WHOEVER AMONG YOU HAS A NIGHTMARE, SHOULD NOT TELL IT TI ANYBODY. RATHER HE SHOULD INVOKE ALLAH'S PROTECTION".
You should recite some verses from the holy Qur'an like Ayatul kursiyyi, Amanar Rasulu, HASBUNALLAHU WA NI'IMAL WAKEEL, and other du'as and litanies authentically reported from the Holy prophet Muhammad (saww).
